Single-family residence
Abril 14, 2026
South Florida
A single-family residence organized around a central courtyard that brings light, air, and landscape into the core of the home. Rather than treating the courtyard as an accessory space, the design positions it as a primary element — shaping circulation, framing views, and connecting interior spaces.
The architecture is defined by clean volumes, deep overhangs, and a restrained material palette, allowing the courtyard to become the focal point of the experience. Openings are carefully placed to create visual connections across the home while maintaining privacy from the street.
Upper-level terraces and shaded exterior spaces extend the living areas outward, reinforcing the indoor-outdoor relationship central to South Florida living. The result is a home that feels both open and protected, structured around a balance of solid and void.
